Youth Ice Hockey League divisions follow the USA Hockey birth date guidelines for Mite, Squirt, Peewee and Bantam divisions. Leagues generally consist of one practice and one game per week except for summer league which is usually just games. More information will be posted on this website soon. Pines offers this great program to teach your youngster how to play ice hockey. These clinics cost only $25 per session and run on Saturdays from 9:40am to 10:40am covering:
- Hockey stance, balance & agility
- Forward strides, crossovers & hockey stops
- Backwards skating, backward crossovers, and backward skating with puck
- Shooting and passing skills and beginning team skills

Hockey 101 is a division within the 8-week Learn to Skate Class. This course is a great way to get aspiring hockey players started. Skaters must have basic skills prior to enrolling in class. Skaters will learn the fundamentals of hockey with this 45 minute on-ice instruction class.
Hockey 101 generally runs on Saturdays from 1:00pm to 1:45pm and the exact dates and times will be provided when you sign up or by checking at any time with the Skate School. There are no make ups available or credits for this class which costs $160 for the 8 weeks. Hockey gloves, hockey helmet with cage and hockey skates are required.
Hockey 102 is one of the last steps to becoming an ice hockey player! Skaters must have completed the Hockey 101 (Introduction to Pre-Hockey) class or have equivalent skating experience. Our coaches will be happy to evaluate your skater to determine the appropriate class. This on-ice instructional class will teach skaters the game and how to incorporate what they have learned in the previous classes into the game of hockey.
Hockey 102 generally runs on Saturdays from 1:00pm to 1:45pm and the exact dates and times will be provided when you sign up or by checking at any time with the Skate School. There are no make ups available or credits for this class which costs $160 for the 8 weeks.
Full hockey equipment is required including hockey gloves, hockey stick, hockey helmet with cage, hockey skates, shin guards, shoulder pads, elbow pads, hockey pants, and a hockey stick are required.
