Dmitri Olympiev was born in Moscow, Russia and started skating at the age of four. He was trained under the tutorage of World and Olympic coach Natalia Dubova. Dmitri was a national and international competitor for 12 years, after which he had a long skating career with Disney on Ice and traveled around the World with various show productions of the company for 10 years. After a long life on the road, Dmitri settled down and since 2000 has been teaching at Pines Ice Arena. He fell in love with coaching figure skating and being able to share his long time experience with young kids and adults alike. During his 11 years of teaching some of his students participated in Junior National Championships.
